Christine & Keith from Southport Architectural Salvage have been one of our regular stall holders for so many years we have lost count. They have also been an integral part of our Salvage events since we launched them in 2012.
They told us that when they first started out trading, they dealt in taps, showers and antique bathrooms but, over the years and as fashions changed, they diversified and got into industrial lighting, which they recognise as being very popular at the moment.
As well as still supplying beautifully restored and refurbished door furniture and bathroom fixtures, they also now specialise in unusual and unique upcycled lighting and other decorative pieces made from salvaged plane parts and instruments, all the way from Bulgaria.
They are so busy traveling and selling at shows, Keith says he sometimes finds it difficult to find time to refurbish items, making their pieces limited editions and much sought after. And you can understand why when we you see the level of skill and care that has gone into creating their pieces. A typical example of their work would be instruments salvaged from a MIG Jet Fighter and set in a piece of shaped, reclaimed wood and made into a lamp.
We are very happy that Christine and Keith are making the journey from Southport to Surrey for our very first South of England based Salvage Show and here is a full list of the other fantastic exhibitors who will be joining them at Loseley Park on 26th & 27th July 2014:
