11th July 2017
This week, we bring our summer of salvage south to the stunning setting of Surrey’s Loseley Park for three days of delightful Decorative Home & Salvage shopping from Friday 14th - Sunday 16th. If the exhibitor list is anything to go by the show is set to be a great hunting ground for all things decorative and salvage for the home and garden, especially for those who want to shop for a chic French look. We have a hearty handful of dealers who specialise in French brocante who will be selling everything from large shutters and furniture to hand-dyed linens and old pharmaceutical bottles. Friday is Bastille Day, so let's celebrate all things French and beautiful!
Style blogger and photographer Janice Issitt will be joining us and is leading the way with a French themed scavenger hunt. The challenge is simple, visit the show and post images of your best French show finds on Instagram and/or Twitter using the hashtag #asfairs for Janice to judge - the winner will receive a beautiful French prize from one of the exhibitor’s stands. To whet your appetite visit Janice’s latest blog French Style Home where she talks about the looks she loves and what to look out for when visiting the show. Follow Janice Issitt on Instagram to see what she posts from the show.
Further inspiration can be found in the May issue of glossy interiors magazine Reclaim, who ran a thirteen-page feature about the Decorative Home & Salvage shows with a section dedicated to shopping for affordable French homewares and the trends and traders you can expect to find at our summer shows. Reclaim will be joining us once again with a stand just inside the entrance selling magazines and subscriptions, and will be on hand to chat about what you most love about salvage, reclaimed homes and all things upcycled.
You'll find this beautifully curated event not only offering up delights from France, but items from all over Europe and the UK; quality reclaimed and salvaged materials, garden furniture and statuary, architectural salvage, restored and up-cycled furniture, period home fixtures and fittings, decorative antiques and industrial furniture will all be in abundance.
Come and join us in the hunt for the best in one-off decorative items and quality salvage, and pick up something to add a little French chic to your home.
Make sure you come prepared with plenty of cash (although some exhibitors do take cards) and lots of bags and an empty car boot ready to transport all your wonderful buys home in. Don’t forget that we have free on-site parking, all day food and light refreshments and a licensed bar. Dogs on leads are welcome.
