It’s that moment when we release the exhibitor list for a show and the excitement starts to mount at Arthur Swallow Fairs HQ, we have to say that The Decorative Home & Salvage Show at Cheshire Showground this weekend - 7th-9th August (Friday 12-5pm Sat/Sun 10am-5pm) - is going to be a corker. Visitors will have the pick of more than seventy carefully chosen stands selling the best in reclaimed and salvaged materials, garden furniture and statuary, restored and up-cycled furniture, period home fixtures and fittings, decorative and architectural antiques, industrial and decorative furnishings.
Taking place in a gorgeous rural setting near the grounds of Tabley House, Knutsford, this is the last Decorative Home & Salvage Show of the season, so don’t miss out.
The Old Yard, who have been with us since our very first DH&S Show in 2012, will be joining us in Cheshire and will no doubt be delighting visitors with their tradmark offering of cleverly upcycled, highly practical, vintage and salvage pieces. One of their new arrivals is a charming old mangle which they have transformed into a handy shelving unit (pictured above), do visit their stand to see this and many other imaginative creations for the home.
Gate Antiques of Harrogate will also be joining us with their wonderful mix of antiques, reclamation and decorative salvage. The owners have a passion for taking tired looking pieces of furniture and giving them a fresh purpose in life and do this at their workshop near Wetherby. Once items have been given a good dose of TLC here they make their way to their showroom at Four Ends Lane Farm, just outside Harrogate. We definitely recommend a visit to their stand.
These two excellent traders are just the tip of the iceberg, have a look below for the full line-up and if you're new to our shows then take a look at our last show blog or short film for an idea of what to expect.
We look forward to seeing you at the weekend.
