The last event in the Decorative Home & Salvage Show's 2014 calendar takes place at Cheshire Showground, near the grounds of Tabley House, Knutsford. Being the home of the Cheshire County Show, one of the leading county shows in the UK, Cheshire Showground offers a stunning, rural setting for traders to display the finest in architectural antiques, salvage and decorative furnishings.
Our first venture to the South of England proved to be a hit with local exhibitors and visitors. We always like to find time to get in amongst the stalls and speak to our stall holders about what interesting items they’ve brought with them to our events. The Antiques Market at Donington Park on Monday 22nd July saw us welcome quite a few new faces to the event.
Salvage and revival means different things to different people. For some buyers who attend our events, it’s all about discovering a piece in its raw state and taking the satisfaction from giving it some TLC and breathing new life into it. For others, they are looking for that restored and polished piece to compliment their home. In relation to the latter, there’s sometimes a lot of hard work that goes into preparing some of the items that are brought to the shows.
If you’re looking to pick up some Mid Century Bargains at the Lincolnshire Antiques & Home Show, you won’t be disappointed.
The ‘Great British Sewing Bee’ was a recent reality TV show aired on the BBC, focusing on the current trend of ‘make do and mend’ and the good old fashioned art of sewing. It appears that people are taking a new interest in traditional skills such as sewing and tailoring, creating and maintaining.
Both sunshine and shoppers were out in full force at the Lincolnshire Antique & Home Show on the 3rd & 4th June and more than just the sun made the 4000 local and international visitors smile. There was a noticeable amount of new stand holders showcasing retro furniture, upcycled homewares, rare antiques and culinary delights.
Are you looking for Vintage Jewellery For Sale, or retro costume and designer jewellery? You’ll find it upon a visit to the Antiques & Home Show at the Lincolnshire showground. With around 200 jewellery exhibits at each fair, the selection is nothing short of phenomenal.
